Our standards
There is no shortage of GTA 6 websites. Most of them will tell you a rumour and a fact in the same sentence. This one will not.
The three labels
Every factual claim on this site carries one of three labels. They appear on articles, on fact lists, on character profiles and on map entries.
Stated by Rockstar Games directly, or shown in official footage.
Reported by established outlets from hands-on previews, but not stated by Rockstar.
Leaks, datamines, or community speculation. Treat with caution.
What we will not do
- We do not publish leaked footage or datamined assets. The 2022 leak was a criminal breach of a company's systems. We will report that it happened; we will not host the material or treat unreleased builds as fact.
- We do not present speculation as news. If a fan theory is interesting we will say it is a fan theory, in the headline, not in the last line.
- We do not run countdown-farm articles. No "GTA 6 release date update" posts that contain no update.
- We do not copy other sites. Everything here is written from primary sources and credited reporting, in our own words.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we fix it and say so on the page, with the date. We would rather carry a visible correction than quietly edit a claim and pretend it never happened.
If you spot an error, tell us at gta6school@gmail.com. Include a link to the source if you have one. It makes the fix much faster.
Who runs this
GTA6.school is an independent fan project, not a games publication and not a company. It is free to use, and it always will be. Advertising and, eventually, affiliate links cover the cost of running it.
Contact
gta6school@gmail.com. Corrections, questions, anything you think is wrong on this site, or a business enquiry. Corrections get read first.
Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links to retailers may earn us a commission if you buy something. This never affects what we write, what we recommend, or how a fact is labelled. Where such a link exists, it is disclosed on the page it appears on.
Where our images come from
Every screenshot on this site is an official Rockstar Games press asset, taken from Rockstar's own media page for Grand Theft Auto VI, which publishes them for coverage and offers them as a public download. We keep Rockstar's original filenames on disk, so every image can be traced straight back to the file Rockstar published.
We do not, however, caption from the filename. Every caption on this site is written by
looking at the picture, because the filenames are asset names rather than descriptions and
several of them do not describe what is in the frame. Rockstar's
ELECTRIC_FANG shots are a tattoo parlour, not a vehicle;
WYMAN_CAR_COLLECTION_01 is a mechanic standing in a salvage yard;
VINTAGE_VICE_CITY_PACK_VAPID_STANIER_01 is a 1950s classic, not the modern
police sedan of the same name. Reading the file name and publishing it as fact is how those
errors spread across fan sites. We look first.
We take nothing from fan sites, wikis or re-uploads, and we host no leaked material. All game imagery remains © Take-Two Interactive and is used editorially, with attribution, to illustrate written coverage. If Rockstar asks us to remove any of it, we will, immediately and without argument.
Not affiliated with Rockstar Games
This is an unofficial fan resource. Grand Theft Auto, GTA, Vice City and all related names, logos and characters are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. and Rockstar Games. We claim no ownership of them, and this site is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive in any way.
Every piece of writing on this site is original. We do not reproduce Rockstar's artwork, trailers or assets, where we discuss them, we link to the official source.
